How do I book a workshop?


Simply browse our workshops online and check availability. You can book online with a credit card, debit card or PayPal account. (It isn’t necessary to have a PayPal account in order to book online). Or you can telephone and pay for your workshop with a credit or debit card over the phone. Please note full payment is required in advance.


What if I need to cancel my workshop booking?


Full, cleared payment is required prior to a workshop commencing. If you are unable to attend your booking the following conditions will apply:


• Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance, will be refunded subject to a 25% administrative fee.

  Alternatively you can transfer to a future workshop free of charge or send someone else in your place.


•Cancellations made within 14 days of the course commencing will be refunded subject to a 50% administrative fee.

 Alternatively you can transfer to a future workshop free of charge or send someone else in your place.


• No refunds will be issued when a participant fails to attend without notice or for cancellations made within 24

  hours of the course commencing. In such an event an alternative course date may be offered in certain



A full refund will be given if your workshop is cancelled by Wath Court Craft Rooms for any reason, or you can elect to attend an alternative workshop instead, space permitting.

How many students are there in a workshop?


We like to keep our workshops small and friendly, so there are usually around 6 - 10 people, depending on the activity.


What should I bring?


For most of our workshops, all materials and tools are supplied. There may be exceptions, in which case you will be notified online in the workshop description. If you would like to bring your own tools, please just let us know first.


Can I bring my own sewing machine?


You certainly can. Please just let us know in advance and arrive for your workshop 15 minutes early to set up.


What age range are the workshops for?


Our general workshops are for adults of all ages.


Can I turn up to a workshop on the day?


Unfortunately not, although if you join our mailing list we’ll send you details of any last-minute availability. Or you can call on the morning of a desired workshop to see if we still have spaces.


Do I have to book a workshop online?


If you would prefer not to book online then you can simply telephone and book with a credit or debit card over the phone.


Is there parking at the workshop?


There is ample car parking spaces located outside the workshop within Wath Court.


Are refreshments provided?


All workshops include hot and cold refreshments. If you are attending a full day workshop then please either bring a packed lunch or alternatively food can be purchased nearby in Hovingham village.


I want to do a workshop but you don't have it on the website?


We’re always very keen to hear about new skills and workshops that you’d like to see included at Wath Court Craft Rooms. Please let us know if there’s something you would like to learn, and we’ll do our very best to include it for you if appropriate.


Can I be a workshop tutor at Wath Court Craft Rooms?


We are always keen to hear from any skilled and friendly people able to run workshops. If you are interested in working with us, please email with details of your work.


Can I buy gift vouchers?


You can buy gift vouchers online or over the phone. They need to be redeemed within 12 months of purchase, and can be used against workshops.


Where can I buy fabric and equipment?


A wide range of fabrics can be bought from Wath Court Fabrics, located opposite Wath Court Craft Rooms. The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday 10.00am - 4.00pm. For further details please visit the website We sell a wide range of materials, tools and haberdashery supplies in our workshop.
